• Hoi Oostweshoesbes, het woordenboek zegt dat het geen vervoeging heeft en in theorie is dit ook niet zo. Maar je kunt inderdaad wel zeggen Dat huis is Britser dan die daarnaast bijvoorbeeld. Dan zou je dus wel een vervoegingstabel kunnen maken. Maar het komt zeer weinig voor in het Nederlands, maar het kan wel, daarom heb ik de vervoegingstabel ingevuld. I hope my use of English here can be excused - I've been consulting WikiWoordenboek here and there exactly because I don't know Dutch! This definition cannot be the only one, for I have an item here which is translated (from the New Guinea language Marind) as "brits, rooster." In context, it sounds to me that "brits" must also mean some kind of rack or platform.Proabivouac 18 aug 2009 05:26 (CEST)

Welcome here Proabivouac. I vaguely remember a brits (not:Brits) being an improvised bed made of a lattice of cords or so but I can be wrong I'll do some checkingJcwf 18 aug 2009 05:34 (CEST)

Yes it is a cot, a wooden field bed. They are often a wooded frame with straps over it. A rooster is a grid, lattice etc.
