In Bulgarian we use "холандски" instead of "нидерландски" and "Холандия" instead of "Нидерландия". Redactor

  • There are several languages that use 'Holland' and 'Netherlands' interchangeably, although Holland is just the most populous part of the Netherlands. At WikiWoordenboek we already have an entry for холандски. If you feel that нидерландски is not a valid Bulgarian word, take your argument to (the translators of) the EU, who apparently think otherwise. Do official Bulgarian government documents use Холандия? For a user it is confusing to start with холандски in the article on нидерландски, so I put your contribution under the header for related terms.

  • I have added articles on Холандия and Нидерландия in the same way, linking their talk pages with this one. By the way, how would you translate in Bulgarian "Holland is the western part of the Netherlands"?
